START BY CHOOSING EVAPORATOR HEAT SOURCE.
Natural gas/ propane is typically the most cost effective fuel to fire an evaporator with. If you don't have natural gas/propane or prefer to heat your evaporator electrically, that is a very effective option as well.
NEXT, SELECT MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION.
Carbon steel is a good low cost option for many waste streams. If your wastewater is not compatible with carbon steel, 316L Stainless Steel is recommended. You know your waste stream best, so EZ-Vap leaves this decision up to you, but we're happy to have a discussion with you to tell you what other customers with similar applications have selected.
NEXT, SELECT CAPACITY.
Determine the total volume of wastewater that you generate per month. Divide this number by the number of days per month that you plan to operate the evaporator. Divide that number by the number of hours per day that you staff your facility. This will give you a gallon per hour evaporation capacity that you need to meet.
*Evaporation rate is based on tap water after reaching a boil. Evaporation rate may vary depending on altitude, ambient temperature and humidity, solids buildup on evaporator surfaces, boiling point elevation, exhaust stack configuration, off-spec power supply or gas pressure, characteristics of wastewater, etc.
